cupcards {to go}:: spring kit sneak

Just a quick post to share some of my card creations for the upcoming spring kit from CupCards {to go}. I can't wait for the full reveal tomorrow. This kit is simply stunning...the card bases are a beautiful shimmery blueberry. Definitely a color that is out of my comfort zone but I could not get enough of them. The embellishments and stickers this month are amazing too. As you'll see in my sneaks, I was a huge fan of the banner sticker sentiments and pop dots. I'll share the rest of the cards soon.

I want to share a quick post of the new CupCards {to go} Valentines kit. The kits are now on sale along with a limited supply of supplemental kits. It's been a while since I made a card so it felt really good to get my hands busy making again.

world card making day 2012 {and a giveaway}

Happy World Card Making Day! This is a day where all card makers come together to celebrate the gift of giving handmade cards. This day is also extra special to me as we celebrate my girl's 17th birthday.

cupcards {to go}:: it's reveal day

Well...actually the CC2G kit went live Wednesday night. My favorite part of getting a kit is that all of the hard work of collecting bits and pieces is done for you. This kit is filled with graphic and flowery goodness; not to mention a couple of doilies. I am not yet tired of this trend.

Here's a few of the cards that I created...all with said doilies.

For a special friend - I wanted this card to be simple yet elegant and showcase that lovely layered flower ribbon. I used a couple of the My Mind's Eye stickers and a scalloped punch. It took me about 10 minutes to create. Out of all my cards this is my favorite.

Thinking of you - If you couldn't already tell...I'm all about simplicity. Can the card be reproduced? Definitely! I'm not sure if you can tell in the image but the sentiment is adhered with pop dots (my go to adhesive for dimension).

A Little Birdie Told Me - This card is part of our challenge to use the ribbon in a unique way. I, of course, am very ribbon challenged and did not do it justice. I do, however, love me some chevron ribbon and will be ordering more for future projects. That little felt birdie is from the May kit.

So, that's all from me. The gallery is filled with such amazing designs. I'm in awe everytime that I get to work with such an amazing group of women.

cupcards {to go}:: sneak peek

Paper crafting, you say?!

Yes...I too can't believe it. It's been months since I cut, glued, punched and played with paper. As a matter of fact, I think the last paper project I worked on was the 4th grade memory book (which I'll share soon) for Nyna's class. That was back in June.

It feels so good to play with paper again. And what better way to jump back into it then with the newest kit from CupCards {to go}. I have to be honest and say that I felt a little rusty. But once I finished my first card, the ideas came pouring back. I love it when that happens.

I have a couple of cards still left to create then I think I'll make a paper layout (eek...gasp!). I've had this design in my brain for weeks that I just need to buckle down and create. Let's see if I can make it come to fruition.

I'm here to share the new CupCards {to go} kit called Pathways. This kit is so full of whimsical items from My Little Yellow Bicycle's Hello Spring, Bella Blvd's Sunshine & Happiness, and May Arts, I couldn't wait to break into it.

Here are a few of my contributions:

Those cute puffy bug stickers are simply adorable. I don't normally work with puffy stickers but as soon as my daughter laid her eyes on them, she immediately wanted me to create a few cards for her sweet little friends. That ribbon...is my FAVORITE!

This card has some simple layering, my favorite scallop punch, and a sweet little felt bird.

This last card has to be my favorite that I've created in a really long time. Super simple and do-able. I've been having some creativity blocks lately and this just seemed to fall into place.

cupcards {to go} card share & week in the life

Happy Monday!

I just have a quick share of a couple of cards I made with the April CupCards {to go} kit. This is one fun party kit filled with bright spring/summer colors. I'm slowly replenishing my stash of birthday cards. It's nice to have a set ready to go when the girls have parties to go to. I need to get better at giving them out to some of adults in my life:) Below are two of my favorite designs this month.

I pulled out the cuttlebug to create the dotted patterned paper. It's been awhile since I've use it. I'm contemplating on whether I want to get the Silhoutte. I'm sure that it would come in handy for the girls' projects too.

This week I'll be joining Ali Edwards (and the web community) in documenting a week in the life. I so enjoyed capturing our days last year with photos and words.

My goal for the week is to focus on taking a bunch of photos and writing down the happenings of our days. Depending on what I capture this week will dictate on how I put it all together. Looking forward to seeing what unfolds this week and being inspired by all of you.

Happy Monday! Tonight the April Cupcards {to go} kit goes on sale at 6:00pm (pdt). It's been a while since we've had a party themed kit available. This is one kit not to pass up. 

Time has gotten away from me this month and I wasn't able to play as much as I wanted. I have a few more cards in the works and will be posting those after our reveal party. I can't wait to see the gallery in full effect. So much color and party love. It will truly be inspiring.

cupcards {to go} march reveal

I'm a little late in posting my march cards. A work trip to San Diego had me busy for the last few weeks. Now all things are calm and I can relax just a bit.

This month's kit is full of my favorite springtime colors and products from MME Miss Caroline Collection, Maya Road, American Crafts, Making Memories, Crate Paper, May Arts and more. I've said it before and I'll say it again...LOVE the AC sentiment stickers.

I'm here to share a few quick peeks of the March CupCards {to go} kit. The kits go on sale tonight at 6:00pm (pacific standard time).

One of my favorite pieces in the kit are the American Crafts sentiment stickers. Love the soft colors and the varying statements. Oh...and the gray and white striped paper above? I need a few more of those sheets. That patterned paper paired with some yellow is my favorite. I've been gravitating towards those colors lately. I'm definitely happy that spring is near.
